The Aspen Institute
PUSH 7 provides strategic communication counsel for The Aspen Institute’s Dialogue on Public Libraries based in Washington, DC. The Dialogue on Public Libraries is a multi-stakeholder forum to explore and champion new thinking on U.S. public libraries, with the goal of fostering concrete actions to support and transform public libraries for a more diverse, mobile and connected society.
In 2016, PUSH 7’s work for the program included assistance with social and digital media, development of a multi-pronged strategic plan, message mapping and strategy, ongoing strategic counsel and the development of an action guide resource that has been downloaded more than 2,000 times in its first year.
"We needed both a national perspective to build momentum across the country and expertise in reaching people at the local level where most decisions about funding and managing public libraries are made. After two years working with Sue, Lynn and their PUSH 7 colleagues, we are experiencing significant recognition for our work. Sue, Lynn and PUSH 7 are the communication experts that I had been looking for – I just didn’t know that I should be looking in Pittsburgh.”
